Trullo di Lucia

"Perhaps the masterpiece of Puglia is precisely Alberobello. There is no tourist manual that ignores it, nor a geography book for middle schools that does not carry the photograph of its trulli.
About an isolated trullo one could speak only with the terms of crystallography. All solid bodies are fused monstrously to give shape to a new delicate and light body.

This is what Pier Paolo Pasolini wrote in a article in 1951 about the city of the trulli, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.

The poet was enchanted by the architecture of the pearl of the Valle d'Itria and by a rare environment, just like Trullo di Lucia’s owner, who chose a romantic ruin with a pointed roof half an hour from Alberobello to make her retreat in Puglia.
"It was a fatal attraction: impossible to resist the call of those stones and their energy", says the owner, commuter of the skies with base in the eternal city; this vacation home is a relief for the body and mind for her, a timeless space where she can disconnect from a life full of commitments and emotions.

"In my work I always look for harmony in shapes and colors, and in decorating my trullo I tried to stay in tune with the neutral tones of the stone and to treasure the magical light of the place, focusing on colors that recall the surrounding nature: gray, beige and white are the dominant colors."
The result is a holiday home with a Mediterranean, casual and relaxed mood.
A timeless icon awakened by light: the true protagonist of Trullo di Lucia is the light of Puglia; cleverly orchestrated, it duets with the interiors making them full of breath, fluid and serene.
